“Great communication begins with connection.” - Oprah Winfrey
We all have great communication skills on our CV`s, we talk about how to communicate properly during team-building events and integrate connection in corporate values. These two words are so over-used, that it seems like we have already learnt everything about it and should have been PRO`s by now.
BUT...
60% of people feel like they waste their time at meetings REGULARLY...
42% of people suffered from burnout and stress from communication issues in business.
30% of people have had poor customer service as a result of miscommunication.
10% of businesses lost their employees as a result of constant communication problems.*
15 years of Corporate Career gave me so many examples on how poor communication and lack of connection in teams can lead to demotivation and poor business results.
But it also showed me, that if you do connect with people on human level beyond job titles and roles, you are able to have a high-performance team, engage stakeholders and increase employee satisfaction.
In my work I use an immersive approach, where participants play games and rather than learning about connecting and communication from the slides, people are experiencing it and deepening their relationship with others in the moment.

We organized a Finance convention for finance managers from different countries with the theme “Getting Connected, Getting Inspired & Building the future together”.As we did not have an event like this for at least 5 years and many new people joined since then we organized a slot of two hours on the first day for the people to get connected. The idea behind was to connect the teams & individuals through a certain frame. For this session we asked Elena Burykh to lead the session and it was great. She came with a proposal upfront including a combination of different games to get to know each other and in between the games a short presentation including useful tips on communication and introductions to the games.
It was a brilliant session, where people got to know each other in an original way through certain frames and games, it was light and with a lot of fun as well. The feedback from the participants joining were very positive as well, so I can recommend Elena for sure for these type of sessions.

It was a pleasure to have Elena run her workshop for my networking group which included posing the question "Where do YOU start your journey of creating and maintaining connections?".In the session, we explored WHY, WHERE, and the HOW of connection challenges, through games that made people really connect. I couldn't separate people after that they were still networking on the street after the event!
I would highly recommend Elena as a speaker, she is very knowledgeable and articulate in what she does.

We invited Elena to lead an opening game for the first face-to-face event of our cohort or mentors and mentees (60 participants) in September. She did an amazing job! Starting by summoning the attention of a group of women absorbed in chatter through a captivating introduction, she masterfully led the game with ease and humour keeping everyone engaged and energised. It helped all participants to connect on a deeper level and allowed to maintain this vibe during the rest of the event.
